Xinhua, November 3, 2016 Adjust font size:

Russia's Eastern Military District has received a shipment of new drones "Aileron-3" for military reconnaissance and surveillance, a military district spokesperson said Thursday.

"Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) Aileron-3 is equipped with a low-noise motor and navigation devices GLONASS. It has a small optical, acoustic and radar visibility and is designed for the installation of interchangeable cameras and camcorders," said Colonel Alexander Gordeyev, head of the Eastern Military District press service.

According to Gordeyev, UAV can operate in a wide range of altitudes and temperatures at a distance of over 50 kilometers from the ground control station.

"Aileron-3" is able to conduct an air optical electronic reconnaissance 24 hours with the data transmission through closed digital channels, he added.

He also said that the operators of "Aileron-3" were retrained in advance in the training center of the Russian Ministry of Defense. Endi
