Political advisors called on to follow CPC session decisions

Xinhua, October 29, 2016 Adjust font size:

China's top political advisory body has called on political advisory bodies at all levels to carefully study and implement decisions of a key Communist Party of China (CPC) meeting.

A meeting was held on Friday by the leading Party group of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

Yu Zhengsheng, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presided over the meeting and gave a speech.

Friday's meeting was held following the calls made at the sixth plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee, which was held from Monday to Thursday.

Participants at the CPPCC meeting agreed that identifying "the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core" has a high degree of consensus in the CPC.

They also noted that the two documents, namely the norms of political life within the Party in a new situation and a regulation on intra-Party supervision, approved at the session are "very timely and very important."

They will carefully study and implement the decisions of the CPC session, an important political mission for the political advisory bodies, and will follow the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Xi as the core. Endi
