China, Germany launch joint medical aid exercise

Xinhua, October 20, 2016 Adjust font size:

Military medical teams from China and Germany on Thursday started a joint exercise to provide emergency medical aid after an earthquake.

The exercise will see participants set up a joint command headquarters and send medical service teams to rescue and treat victims and carry out epidemic prevention work in a fictional country following a major earthquake.

The exercise includes field exercise, academic exchange and final evaluations, with a focus on mass treatment of the injured, on-the-spot emergency treatment and critical air evacuation.

The exercise is being held in a training base at the Third Military Medical University in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality. Endi
