Xinhua, October 20, 2016 Adjust font size:

Lebanon's General Security Directorate said Thursday that it arrested eight Syrian nationals suspected of planning suicide attacks inside Lebanon.

The arrest came after a period of close surveillance over the suspects, the intelligence agency said in a press statement.

All the suspects have confessed that they were planning to carry out suicide attacks against cafes, restaurants and United Nations peace troops in Lebanon, according to the statement. Endit
