Spanish stock market falls 0.31 pct, closes at 8,740 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 fell 0.31 percent on Monday to close at 8,740.70 points, down from the 8,767.90 points of Friday.

On Monday's session, Enagas shares led falls losing 1.72 percent, followed by Repsol, Indra A, Merlin, Inditex and Mapfre that lost 1.69 percent, 1.42 percent, 1.16 percent, 1.11 percent and 1.01 percent respectively.

On the other hand, Caixabank shares led rises climbing 2.38 percent, followed by Cellnex, Banco Popular, Bankia, AENA and ArcelorMittal that rose 1.07 percent, 1.07 percent, 0.96 percent, 0.93 percent and 0.77 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 106.7 points and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.12 percent, both showing no big differences when compared with Friday at closing time. Endit
