British FTSE 100 rises 0.51 pct on Friday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Friday rose by 0.51 percent, or 35.81 points, to 7,013.55 points.

Share price of Tesco increased by 4.41 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Mediclinic International, Informa, Marks & Spencer and Pearson increased by 3.27 percent, 2.47 percent, 2.44 percent and 2.27 percent respectively.

Antofagasta led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 3.61 percent, following by Randgold Resources (3.27 percent), Fresnillo (2.76 percent), Ashtead Group (2.38 percent) and Polymetal International (1.56 percent). Endit
