Xinhua, October 14, 2016 Adjust font size:

Thai Queen Sirikit, 84, was seen in the motorcade moving her husband King Bhumibol Adulyadejs remains from the hospital to the Grand Palace on Friday.

The queen has refrained from public appearances for a long time and her health is concerned by many Thais, especially after the death of her husband the King.

Her face was seen in a van in the motorcade, moving many Thais kneeling down along the road to tears, Thai media Post Today reported.

She waved her hand to the people and the people chanted loudly long live the Queen, the report said.

"No matter how her appearance has changed, I am so happy to see that she is still healthy and in the motorcade," said "Lookkaew" on social media.

According to the Royal Household Bureau, the Queen suffered a stroke in 2012. She has since refrained from public appearances. Endit
