Three security personnel gunned down in SW Pakistan

Three security personnel were killed in firing by unknown gunmen in Quetta city in southwest Pakistan on Friday, local Urdu media reported.

The militants coming on motorbike opened fire at a vehicle of paramilitary troops Frontier Corps (FC) when it was on its routine patrol near Samangli Road area in Quetta, the capital city of the country's southwest Balochistan province, the Samaa News reported.

Local police was quoted as saying that the militants fled the scene after the firing. Two security personnel were killed right at the spot, while the third one succumbed to injuries at the hospital.

Police cordoned off the area for investigations.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the attack and directed police to hunt down the culprits.

No group has claimed the attack yet.

Also on Friday, four FC troopers were injured in a suicide attack at a security check post in the country's northwest tribal area of Kurram Agency. Endit
