Singapore stocks close 0.35 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 9.76 points, or 0.35 percent, to close at 2,815.24.

A total of 2.14 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.14 billion Singapore dollars (822 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 236 to 128, while 536 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 8.23 points, or 0.29 percent, to close at 2,805.48 on Thursday. Enditem
