British FTSE 100 rises 0.75 pct on Monday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Monday rises by 0.75 percent, or 53.11 points, to 7,097.50 points.

Share price of BHP Billiton increased by 2.80 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Royal Dutch Shell PLC B, Shire, CRH and Royal Dutch Shell A increased by 2.75 percent, 2.44 percent, 2.37 percent and 2.30 percent respectively.

Persimmon led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.97, following by Taylor Wimpey (2.64 percent), Travis Perkins (2.59 percent), easyJet (2.29 percent) and TUI (2.24 percent). Endit
