Pakistan condemns terrorist attack in Turkey

Pakistan on Sunday strongly condemned terrorist attack in Turkey which killed at least 18 people, including security personnel.
Turkish officials said that a car bomb targeting a checkpoint in Semdinli district of Turkey's Hakkari province killed 10 soldiers and eight civilians and wounded a dozens of others on Sunday.
"Pakistan condemns this mindless act of terrorism in the strongest possible terms. We extend our heart-felt sympathies and condolences to the bereaved families and to the fraternal people and government of Turkey. We also pray for the speediest and fullest recovery of the wounded," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The statement said the people of Pakistan stand in abiding solidarity with Turkey in the fight against terrorism.
"There is no doubt that those seeking to disturb the peace, stability and internal harmony of Turkey would never succeed. We remain firm in our belief that the brotherly people of Turkey would decisively defeat the scourge of terrorism with their unshakable resolve," the Foreign Ministry said.
The statement said Pakistan also reiterates its condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. Endit
