Nigeria beats Zambia in World Cup qualifier

Zambia on Sunday started its campaign for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers on a poor note after losing to Nigeria 1-2 at home.

Nigeria scored two first half goals through Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi in the 32nd minute while Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho scored in the 42nd minute to silence the home crowd at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola city in the Copperbelt Province to start the campaigns on a good note.

Zambia reduced the deficit in the 70th minute when South African based striker Collins Mbesuma.

Other teams in Group B include Cameroon and Algeria. Endit
