Russia deploys new heavy bomber division in Far East

The Russian Defense Ministry is finishing the formation of a new heavy bomber aviation division in the Far Eastern region, the Izvestiya newspaper reported Thursday.

The division is composed of several squadrons of bombers, including Tu-95MS strategic bombers and Tu-22M3 long-range bombers, Izvestiya quoted the Defense Ministry as saying.

The bombers will be patrolling the Pacific Ocean near Japan, Hawaii and Guam, the newspaper reported. Endi
