The following are highlights of South African major media outlets on Thursday.

-- Political stability and SA's slow growth were particular concerns for the US investors who attended this week's SA Tomorrow investor conference in New York, but many still see SA as a reasonably good story, relative to the other emerging markets in which they invest.

This is according to CEOs who attended the conference, which is in its fourth year and attracted unprecedented interest from South African corporates and US fund managers. (Business Day)

-- The African National Congress' (ANC) critics are creating the impression that the party has done nothing to improve access to higher education, ANC secretary general Gwede Mantashe said on Wednesday.

"People refer to the Freedom Charter and they read the headline, stop there, and say therefore you are offering free education," he said at the opening of the Black Management Forum's annual conference in Midrand. (News24)

-- President Jacob Zuma said on Wednesday that inequality can't be addressed while there is a widening gap between rich and poor countries.
