Two officials from the provinces of Fujian and Hunan are being investigated on suspicion of taking bribes, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) said Monday.

Li Yilong, former member of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and deputy head of the committee's rural work leading group, has been placed under "coercive measures," the SPP said.

"Coercive measures" include summons by force, bail, residential surveillance, detention and arrest.

The other suspect was Wang Heping, former head of the municipal administration for industry and commerce in Xiamen, Fujian. Endi
