Oil prices rise after sharp slide

Oil prices ended higher on Friday after losing for consecutive four sessions.

The West Texas Intermediate for October delivery gained 1.28 U.S. dollars to settle at 44.44 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, while Brent crude for November delivery added 1.38 U.S. dollars to close at 46.83 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange. Enditem
