Portugal issues 1 bln euros in mid-term treasury bonds

Portugal issued 1 billion euros (1.12 billion U.S. dollars) in five and 10-year treasury bonds on Wednesday at similar yields with previous auctions, the Portuguese Treasury and Debt Management Agency said.

The agency said Portugal issued 550 million euros in 10-year bonds at average yields of 3.027 percent, slightly lower than the average yield of 3.093 percent in a similar auction carried out in July this year.

Portugal also issued 450 million euros in five-year bonds at an average yield of 1.870 percent, slightly higher than the average yield of 1.843 percent in a similar auction carried in June this year. Endit
