Real Sociedad ccomplete Rulli deal

Spanish La Liga side Real Sociedad have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli, local media reported Tuesday.

Although Rulli has spent the past two seasons on loan at the San Sebastian based club, his ownership was a complicated affair involving Manchester City and Uruguayan outfit SD Maldonado.

Now the Real Sociedad have assured the future of the 24-year-old who has made 58 league appearances for them over the past two years.

The deal outlined on the Real Sociedad website, which explained the deal went through after SD Maldonado sent the relevant paperwork to Manchester City, will see Rulli remain on loan in San Sebastian until the end of December when he will become Real Sociedad' s property with a contract until 2022.

Real Sociedad face a difficult start to the new season when they start the campaign at home to Real Madrid on Aug. 21. Endit
