Lebanese official hails "Beirut to Beijing" event

Lebanon's former Minister of Trade Adnan Kassar hailed here Thursday the positive outcome of the "Beirut to Beijing" event organized in the Chinese capital.

The event, launched through the Fransbank group Kassar presides, started on July 15 and is continuing till the end of the month.

"We are proud to organize this event that aims at strengthening culture, tourism and trade exchange between China and Lebanon," Kassar told a press conference.

Extending his gratitude to the Lebanese Embassy in China, the Union of the Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture and the Chinese and Lebanese officials, Kassar said "through their efforts this project achieved a great success."

"We are organizing 'Beijing to Beirut' event in the Lebanese capital in this November with the participation of an official Chinese delegation and delegates from the Chinese private sector," he said. Endit
