Top political advisory body vows to cooperate in discipline inspection

Xinhua, July 29, 2016 Adjust font size:

The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee is ready to cooperate with discipline inspectors and correct any wrongdoings, according to a statement issued after a meeting of its chair and vice chairpersons on Thursday.

The Party committee attached to the top political advisory body will be "honest with inspectors" and "humbly accept the inspection" so that it can effectively improve its work, said the statement.

The CPPCC National Committee is one of 32 state and Party organs chosen in the current round of discipline inspection.

The meeting was presided over by Yu Zhengsheng, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee.

The chairman and vice chairpersons also decided that the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee will convene in late August and discuss cultural development, the statement said. Endi
