The following are highlights of South African major media outlets on Friday.

-- Delays experienced by travellers at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg were caused by a fault in the biometrics capturing system, the Department of Home Affairs said.

Travellers departing from OR Tambo have complained of long delays, with the system causing a number of flights to be delayed. The biometric system was intended to ease the movement of people travelling through the country. (Business Day).

-- Almost 9 million South Africans were victims of cyber crime in the last year, according to a study by internet security company Norton.
