-- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his country would further cement its long standing relations with Ethiopia.

Netanyahu made the remark here Thursday while addressing members of the House of People's Representatives (HPR). He said, Ethiopia is on the rise and his country is ready to work with Ethiopia. (Fana Broadcast Corporate/FBC)

-- Ethio-Israeli Business Forum will add more momentum to foster long-standing relations between the two countries in investment, trade and technology transfer, Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Dessalegn said.

While addressing the forum held here Thursday, the Premier said "Israel is not a new comer in investing in Ethiopia; it had been engaged in various agriculture related investments" referring to the FDI flow in horticulture, integrated farming, crop production and manufacturing has been growing over the past twenty years. -- The House of People Representatives (HPR) has approved Thursday four different financing and two loans agreements proclamations.

The house has ratified financing agreement (Development Response to Displacement Impacts Project in the Horn of Africa) between Ethiopia and International Development Association amounting to 71 million USD. (Ethiopian News Agency/ENA)

-- Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, and Ivory Coast are expected to join the Africa Trade Insurance Agency (ATI) by the end of September, officials said on Wednesday.

ATI CEO George Otieno told a media briefing in the Kenyan capital Nairobi that Zimbabwe, Ethiopia and Ivory Coast were all at advanced stages of joining ATI. (Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation/EBC) Endit
