Singapore stocks close 0.12 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 3.32 points, or 0.12 percent, to close at 2,786.13.

A total of 791.3 million shares changed hands with turnover of 781.6 million Singapore dollars (583.3 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 189 to 175, while 540 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 11.42 points, or 0.41 percent, to close at 2,789.45 on Tuesday. Endit
