The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Wednesday.

-- Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn is expected in Kenya on Wednesday for a three-day state visit at the invitation of President Uhuru Kenyatta, The Star reported.

Hailemariam will be accompanied by government officials and businessmen from Ethiopia. They will attend the Kenya-Ethiopia business forum. (Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation/EBC)

-- With a view to catalyzing the development of agro-processing parks in four regional states, the Ethiopian Ministry of Industry has signed agreements with universities, technical and vocational education agencies and education bureaus. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)

-- The Ethiopian Roads Authority said roads built with over 10 billion birr in Amhara and Oromia regional states will be inaugurated this week. A foundation stone will also be laid for new road projects to be constructed in both regional states.

The authority further said it will award five road projects for contractors in the coming weeks. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)

-- Ethiopian Airlines is the largest cargo operator in Africa contributing hugely to the economy by transporting different finish products via its hub in Addis Ababa, according to Elijah Chingosho, Secretary-General of African Airlines Association (AFRAA).
