Republic of Congo calls for peaceful resolution of South China Sea dispute

Republic of Congo government has urged all parties directly involved in the South China Sea dispute, to use peaceful means of resolving the issue "through bilateral consultations and without external interference."
In a statement released early this week, the Congolese government expressed concern over the persistence of tension in the South China Sea.
According to the Congolese government, the search for a peaceful solution to South China Sea dispute should be done "in conformity to the commitments made in the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea, and in accordance with the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. Endit
