Xinhua, June 21, 2016 Adjust font size:

At least two policemen were injured during a search operation in Pakistan's central Multan city on Tuesday, local Urdu media reported.

Geo News reported that the personnel of the counter-terrorism department of police raided a house believed to be a hideout of militants at N.L.C. bypass area of Multan, a city in the country's east Punjab province.

The militants blew up explosive materials during the police raid and fled the scene.

The injured cops were shifted to Nishtar Hospital Multan.

Police cordoned off the area and kicked off a search operation to hunt down the on-the-run militants. Endit
