Xinhua, June 2, 2016 Adjust font size:

The Chinese military sent a specialist medical team to Mali on Thursday to join Chinese peacekeepers there and help deal with casualties from a Tuesday terrorist attack.

Led by a senior Defense Ministry official, the team will work with the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) and the Mali government to ensure the safety of peacekeepers.

MINUSMA was attacked on Tuesday evening and on Wednesday China confirmed that one peacekeeper had been killed and four others injured. Endi
