Cahill's prospect remains uncertain at CSL club

Xinhua, May 30, 2016 Adjust font size:

Tim Cahill of Australia scored to help Hangzhou Greentown for a 1-1 tie against Jiangsu Suning, but his prospect remains uncertain at the Chinese Super League (CSL) club after 11 rounds of matches.

Cahill's contract with Greentown is due to expire in July but the club has not yet decided on the prospect of renewing it.

"We haven't decided yet. We need to consider every aspect," said Wu Shaokui Monday afternoon, the vice general manager of Greentown.

"Sad to have missed my country's game against England yesterday. I couldn't play cause I have game tonight," said the 37-year-old international striker through Weibo on Saturday, who scored three goals this season for Greentown.

Brazilian striker Jo Alves put Suning ahead in the 27th minute, but Cahill's header in the 88th minute helped Greentown to tie 1-1 on the road. Endit
