The Comprehensive Exhibition of China-Arab States Expo 2016 has kicked off on Monday with all participants aspiring that it will enhance better win-win mutual cooperation.

"The exhibition is a good opportunity to build bridges of fruitful partnership and cooperation," said Mohamed Samy, head of the International Conferences and Exhibitions Authority in Egypt.

The exhibition, which is the third one, with the previous two sessions held in China, was organized while Egypt and China mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

The 2016 Exhibition is composed of four parts with 38 units on 800 square meters. The four parts are Cultural Exhibition of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of China, Traditional Chinese Medicine (Hui Medicine) Exhibition, China-Arab States Youth Entrepreneurship Exhibition and Cloud Computing Technology Application Exhibition.

China has been the biggest trade partner for Egypt over the past three years, with 10.9 billion U.S. dollars in trade exchange in 2015, said Jiang Zengwei, chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

"Trust and exchanges between the two countries have advanced and cooperation has climbed to a new high recently," added Jiang.

China enjoyed good potentials in technology, funds, and equipments while Egypt has the location and the manpower, he noted, adding that both countries together have the factors to generalize industry and sustainable development in Egypt.

Over the three-day exhibition, the Chinese and Arab businessmen will hold discussions on the potential sources of cooperation and investment. Endit
