China's industrial profit growth slows

Profits of China's major industrial firms rose 4.2 percent year on year in April, slowing from an 11.1-percent rise registered in March, official data showed on Friday.

Profits at industrial companies with annual revenues of more than 20 million yuan (about 3.1 million U.S. dollars) totaled 502 billion yuan last month, the National Bureau of Statistics said. Endi
