Dollar changes hands in upper 109 yen zone in early Tokyo trading

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 109 yen zone early Friday in Tokyo.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 109.72-73 yen compared with 109.70-80 yen in New York and 110.02-04 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday.

The euro fetched 1.1191-1193 dollars and 122.80-81 yen against 1.1188-1198 dollars and 122.81-91 yen in New York and 1.1170-1171 dollars and 122.89-93 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon. Endit
