Cyclone Roanu to enter Myanmar's western state

Cyclone Roanu will enter Myanmar's western Rakhine state, Chin state and Sagaing region as inland tropical storm Saturday, according to an announcement of the Department of Myanmar Meteorology and Hydrology.

The department upgraded the storm warning as red alert this morning. The wind speed will be 60 miles per hour in western Rakhine state and Chin state.

The eye of the storm is in Bangladesh and the storm has swept close to the western state, according to U Htun Lwin, a local expert. Endit
