Unknown gunmen attack Burkina Faso police post near border

Unidentified gunmen attacked police position at Koutougou near Burkina Faso borders with Niger and Mali Tuesday night, security source in the capital Ouagadougou told Xinhua Wednesday.

Two security and defence forces officers were left injured in the attack, the source said, adding that the attackers remain untraceable.

Burkina Faso has been experiencing attacks in the past months, mostly in the northern region of the country.

In January, terror attack on a luxury hotel in Ouagadougou claimed some 30 lives. Enditem
