Xinhua, May 18, 2016 Adjust font size:

A truck driver, trying to avoid a roadblock protest over labor reform, collided with two vehicles in Le Havre northwestern France and killed one motorist on Wednesday, local media reported on Wednesday.

The accident occurred earlier Wednesday morning in Harfleur industrial zone after a truck driver took the opposite way to avoid blockades set by protesters and struck two cars.

One motorist died instantly and another was slightly injured. The truck driver was also hospitalized, the reports added.

Joining workers and students movements to protest a controversial labor code reform, truck drivers blocked main roads of Le Havre for the second day. The action caused significant traffic disruption. Endit
