Singapore's PM Lee Hsien Loong to visit Russia

Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will make a working visit to Russia from Tuesday to Friday, announced the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) on Monday.

In the statement, PMO said Lee will visit Moscow from Tuesday to Thursday, and Sochi from Thursday to Friday to attend the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit.

In Moscow, Lee will meet with Russia's Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, the Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Tigran Sargsyan, leading Russian business executives and senior government officials.

In Sochi, Lee will attend the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of ASEAN-Russia relations. PMO said that the leaders will review ASEAN-Russia cooperation and discuss its future direction, as well as exchange views on regional and international issues. Lee will also meet with Russia's President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the summit.

During Lee's absence, Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean will be the acting prime minister. Endit
