Singapore stocks close 0.04 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished slightly higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 1.15 points, or 0.04 percent, to close at 2,736.06.

A total of 2.61 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 848.1 million Singapore dollars (619.9 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 227 to 200, while 483 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 10.48 points, or 0.38 percent, to close at 2,734.91 on May 13. Endit
