Malaysian stock market closes lower

The Malaysian stock market ended lower here on Monday.

The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (KLCI) was at 1,621.21 down 7.05 points or 0.43 percent, and the Emas was at 11,350.12 down 51.75 points or 0.46 percent.

There were 250 gainers, 539 losers and 337 counters traded unchanged.

Turnover declined to 1.70 billion shares valued at 1.69 billion ringgit Malaysia(419.04 million U.S. dollars), compared with 1.83 billion shares valued at 2.81 billion ringgit Malaysia(697.44 million U.S. dollars) on last Friday. Endit
