The following are highlights of South African major media outlets on Wednesday.

-- COMAIR this week filed an urgent interdict to stop the Air Services Licensing Council (ASLC) from suspending its operations because the regulator says it has foreign ownership too high for a domestic airline.

The council has said that Comair, the British Airways franchisee that owns kulula.com, has breached the 25 percent foreign ownership threshold. (Business Day)

-- Labour Minister Mildred Oliphant has confirmed that meetings have taken place with representatives from some financial institutions that have cut banking services to Gupta-linked companies.

However, she would not disclose any other details, saying the ministers involved had not yet reported back to Cabinet. (City Press)

-- ANC secretary general Gwede Mantashe has hit back at former president Thabo Mbeki who had criticized the ANC for the current crisis within the country and for disregarding the Constitution.
