Guinea PM says to introduce performance contracts for ministers

Guinea's Prime Minister Mamady Youla on Wednesday told parliament that he would introduce a performance contract system at ministerial level.
Yaula said he would run the government under two strategies -- "holding ministers responsible for their actions and appraising their performance."
"This is the only way of measuring our future success, but it should start yielding fruits from 2016," Youla said.
He said he believed the move would enable the government to come up with "concrete reform actions" and "investment projects" in all sectors of the economy.
It was Youla's first appearance before parliament to outline government programs since his appointment on Dec. 26 last year. Endit
