Three Israeli soldiers were injured and a Palestinian attacker was killed in a car-ramming attack in the West Bank on Tuesday, the Israeli military said.
One soldier was seriously injured and the other two were moderately injured after a car drove to them near Dolev, a Jewish settlement north of Jerusalem in the West Bank.
Soldiers at the scene shot and killed the attacker, the Israel Defense Forces spokesman said in a statement.
The attack comes amid a wave of violence which started in October and has claimed the lives of 28 Israelis, killed in car-ramming, shooting and stabbing attacks by Palestinians.
Nearly 200 Palestinians were killed during this period, some in clashes with Israeli security forces during protests, while others were gunned down by security forces after committing attacks.
A 60-year-old Israeli man was moderately injured in a stabbing attack in Jerusalem on Monday evening. A Palestinian suspect was arrested overnight by the Israeli police.
Israeli leaders blame the Palestinian National Authority for inciting violence amid the wave of unrest, whereas the Palestinians say it is the result of 49 years of Israeli occupation of the West Bank, east Jerusalem and Gaza Strip territories, where they wish to establish a Palestinian state. Endit
