(Special for CAFS) Togolese civil servants, civil society trained on drafting investment programs

Xinhua, May 3, 2016 Adjust font size:

A training project targeting 150 Togolese civil servants and representatives of civil society groups on three concepts that will improve management of public finances was launched on Monday in the capital, Lome.

The three concepts include Public Investments Program (PIP), drafting of the Priority Action Program (PAP) and Development Management.

The training which will run from May 2 to 30, was an initiative of Togo's Development Planing ministry and the Islamic Development Bank.

Organizers said the first phase began on Monday with training on drafting of PIP and Development Management.

The end result for the training program is to prevent conception of false projects and wastage of national resources, as well as improvement of management of public finances.

The project coordinator Coledji Kossi said the ongoing training program demonstrated the government's desire to provide better living conditions for the Togolese population. Endit
