Malaysian stock market closes lower

The Malaysian stock market ended lower here on Tuesday.

The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (KLCI) was at 1,651.44 down 21.28 points or 1.29 percent, and the Emas was at 11,504.99 down 133.02 points or 1.16 percent.

There were 221 gainers, 624 losers and 324 counters traded unchanged.

Turnover declined to 1.69 billion shares valued at 1.73 billion ringgit Malaysia (439.76 million U.S. dollars), compared with 1.50 billion shares valued at 2.09 billion ringgit Malaysia (534.94 million U.S. dollars) on last Friday. Endit
