Update: Suicide bombing in NW Turkey kills 1, injures 17

A suicide blast rocked Turkey's northwestern city of Bursa on Wednesday, killing the female attacker and wounding 17 others, Turkish media reported.

Bursa's governor office issued a statement confirming that a female suicide bomber blew herself up near the city's famous Ulu Mosque.

None of the wounded are in critical condition, the office said.

Press reports said a funeral prayer was being held inside the mosque at the time.

Istanbul and Turkey's capital Ankara have come under a series of bombing attacks in recent months. Endit
