Xinhua, April 20, 2016 Adjust font size:

Ruler of Dubai issued here on Wednesday a decree to establish the Emirates Maritime Arbitration Center, state news agency WAM reported.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president of United Arab Emirates (UAE), and prime minister of Dubai signed the decree, said the report.

The center is going to address and resolve maritime disputes through deliberations based on legal frameworks, and set maritime regulatory guidelines and standards.

The UAE has a 1,318 km of coastline and harbors cargo ships and shipping companies worldwide through its free port Jebel Ali in Dubai and other ports in the capital Abu Dhabi. Endit
