Thirteen people were killed on Tuesday in clashes between the Democratic Republic of Congo army and Mai Mai Simba militia in Central-Biakato locality, Mambasa territory in the east of the country.

ISLAMABAD -- At least seven policemen, deployed to guard polio-eradication teams, were killed and three others injured when gunmen opened fire at them in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi on Wednesday, officials said.

DHAKA -- At least 13 people were killed and 30 others injured when two buses collided head-on on a highway in Bangladesh's northwestern Rangpur district, police said on Wednesday.
