Official website launched to promote book reading

Xinhua, April 20, 2016 Adjust font size:

A government-sponsored website was launched on Wednesday to promote reading among the public.

The website, www.nationalreading.org.cn, was established as the official site for a campaign that aims to cultivate love for books.

The campaign was initiated in 2006 by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television.

The website, operated by www.xinhuanet.com, features book recommendations, reviews, e-books and other multi-media content, as well as advertisements for book-reading salons, among other information. Endi
