Nigeria air force strikes Boko Haram logistics base

Xinhua, April 14, 2016 Adjust font size:

Nigerian Air Force (NAF) had struck Boko Haram insurgents' logistics base at Kangarawa in restive northeast Borno State, an official said Wednesday.

Group Capt. Ayodele Famuyiwa, Spokesperson for the NAF, said in a statement reaching Xinhua that the latest air strike was carried out by NAF F7-NI Fighter Aircraft against the insurgents.

He said this was done in continuation of its employment of air power to decimate the capability of the insurgents.

The scale of accompanying inferno and multi explosions of the air strike suggests that the location possibly houses fuel or ammunition, the spokesperson said, adding that the strike constituted another major setback for the insurgents. Endit
