Xinhua, April 12, 2016 Adjust font size:

Danish Prime Minister Lars Loekke Rasmussen will visit Poland and Ukraine from April 18 to 19, with export promotion and policy discussions on the agenda, the prime minister's office announced on Tuesday.

Rasmussen is scheduled to meet with Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo and representatives of Danish companies in Poland on April 18.

"Poland is an important export market for Denmark. It is vital that we have a constant dialogue and openly discuss common issues," Rasmussen said ahead of the visit.

The Danish prime minister is scheduled to meet with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Ukraine's new prime minister on April 19.

Rasmussen encourages Ukraine to "maintain its reform agenda and implement the difficult but absolutely necessary reforms."

At the same time Rasmussen will during the visit help Danish companies enter the Ukrainian market. Endit
