Slovenian capital looking for green ambassadors

Ljubljana, the Green Capital of Europe 2016, has asked ordinary Slovenians to join several well-known people to be green ambassadors so as to promote the capital.

Under the green ambassador campaign, citizens are invited to publish a photo or a video on their Istagram with tag #LJambassador and say what Ljubljana means to them, according to the Ljubljana municipal authorities.

The municipality has also been collecting applications at zate@ljubljana.si. during the campaign that runs till April 20.

"Ljubljana is a city of heart, inspiration and good people, who think and live green. We live together in harmony, co-creating the city's uniqueness and preserving its natural beauty with constant care for the environment," the municipality said recently.

At the end of the competition, a three-member jury will pick a dozen citizens who will take part in a professional photo shooting and become green ambassadors of Ljubljana along with some well-known Slovenians. Enditem
