Dutchman caught smuggling five refugees in Slovenia

Slovenian police said on Tuesday that they discovered five migrants from Syria and Afghanistan in a car driven by a Dutchman near the border with Croatia on early Tuesday.

The police in the town of Krsko traced the car after receiving a tip-off about a suspicious vehicle near the village of Sutna on the border with Croatia. The driver was identified as a 36-year-old Dutchman.

The foreigners have been apprehended while the investigation about illegal border crossing is ongoing, Slovenian Press Agency reported, quoting a press release by Novo mesto police administration.

It came after six refugees crossed the border with Croatia and entered Slovenia on Saturday. Endit
